Set among pear and apple trees on a North Downs farm in Kent, Fallow Fields Campsite is a family-friendly spot only 10 minutes’ drive from the historic town of Sandwich. The camping fields occupy six acres of land, consisting of a large main field and a secluded area within the apple orchard, with parking available in the adjacent field. Dogs are welcome to accompany you, as long as they’re kept on their leads while you’re on site. Stay in one of our fully furnished bell tents with everything you need provided, or make sure self at home in one of our part furnished bell tents, fitted with a double bed and 2 futon beds, where you personally your stay with your own bedding and equipment. We also offer camping pitches where you can bring your own tent!
An on-site shop sells all the basics for barbecues and family suppers, including cold alcoholic and soft drinks, and also does a good line in barista-style coffee for your morning caffeine fix. On certain days there are organised activities for the whole family, including bushcraft, yoga, wine tasting, arts and crafts, tie dyeing and rather less sedate welly-wanging competitions.
There’s a retreat tent filled with games, where ever-popular cinema nights are also held. The field kitchen opens for food on weekends and mid-week evenings during the school holidays and bank holidays, and the grown ups can sneak off for a drink at the gin-and-fizz bar.
